Terms

Last updated 1 September 2026

Telly is an agent that clicks, types, and navigates on your Mac when you ask it to. These terms cover what you can expect from it, and what we expect from you. Using Telly means you accept them.

What Telly is

Telly is an early access macOS app. It listens when you hold its shortcut, looks at your screen, and then operates your Mac with your own permissions to carry out what you asked for. It is a tool that acts on your behalf, not a service that acts on its own.

The email address you give us

Telly needs a working email address before it will run. Use one that is yours. It identifies your usage to us and is how we reach you about the product. See the privacy page for exactly where it goes.

You are responsible for what you ask Telly to do

Telly acts with your access, in your accounts, on your machine. Anything it does is treated as something you did. Do not ask it to do something you are not permitted to do yourself, and remember that the terms of the apps and websites it operates still apply to you while it is operating them.

Telly can get it wrong

It works from a screenshot and a best guess about what it is looking at, so it misreads screens, clicks the wrong control, and occasionally reports a task finished that is not. Watch it on anything you cannot undo: sending, deleting, publishing, and paying. Do not leave it running unattended on irreversible work.

Passwords and secrets

Telly will open an app, reach a sign-in page, and click into the field for you, then hand the step back rather than entering the secret itself. Anything you say out loud is transcribed by a third party, so do not dictate passwords, card numbers, or recovery codes to it.

Plans and payment

Telly is free. There is no paid plan, no trial that expires, and no billing of any kind, so there is nothing to cancel. If we ever introduce a paid plan, you will not be billed for anything without agreeing to it first.

Services Telly depends on

Each turn passes through Anthropic, AssemblyAI, and ElevenLabs. Their own terms govern how they process what reaches them, and Telly is only as available as they are. We can change which providers we use.

What we do not promise

Telly is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Early access software breaks, and features can change or be withdrawn without notice. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data or lost profit, or for what Telly does on your Mac at your instruction.

Ending it

Uninstall Telly whenever you like, and everything it stored locally goes with it. We can suspend access for abuse, for misuse of the services Telly depends on, or for anything that puts other users at risk.

Changes to these terms

Updated terms are posted on this page with a new date at the top. Continuing to use Telly after that date means you accept them.

Contact and governing law
